My name is Neil Erickson, I am an artist based in Vernon, BC. I have painted most of my life. My work moves between regional landscapes/seascapes to non-objective abstracts. Last year I sought after deeper more personalized imagery. To do this I brought in tubes of paint and large scrapers and abandoned brushes. The speed and immediacy of this approach requires a strong and disciplined skillset. It proves to be a wonderful challenge and the results happen fast.
